THE COMPUTER CO-OP - 601.981.6925 - Come visit the world's first computer cooperative, providing our services since 1998 and owned by our members. We have over 200 individual and business members who receive discounts on computers, parts, and services, plus a newsletter and priority support. - FAIR TRADE HANDICRAFTS where you can find beautiful hand-made gifts, jewelry, and decorative items for your home. Our manager, Karen Parker, (former owner of New Vibrations) is working hard to ensure that all of our products meet “fair trade” guidelines, which means artisans are never exploited and products are made using environmentally sustainable practices. So far we’ve received orders of jewelry, hand-made paper journals, baskets, meditation bowls, purses, Christmas items, children’s gifts and there’s lots more on the way! - RAINBOW GREEN SERVICES is a new venture for Jackson! Green Services manager, Katherine West has lots of ways to help you “green” your life! Some of our products are useful, some make wonderful gifts, and you have to check out her kid’s corner with fun toys and experiments. Katherine will be working in conjunction with Michael Gentry, Rainbow’s own gardening guru, and Luke Lundemo, energy auditor for Green Services. They will be offering organic gardening consultations, information on permaculture landscaping, home and business energy audits, and classes and workshops on lots of topics we know you’ll love.

One way to get motivated to reduce your carbon footprint is to join our Green Team. It’s free, it’s fun, and can save you money! The Green Team is for individuals or businesses that agree to take actions to reduce energy consumption. We’ll be glad to help you come up with ways that you can make small or large changes to your everyday habits that can help you save money and lower your energy bills. When you join, you’ll get energy saving tips and reminders and notices of classes and workshops. Best of all, the actions you agree to implement will be added to the rest of the Team, and you can actually see how much energy and money everyone is saving by being a part of this fun and interactive group! - THE CONSCIOUS LIVING PROJECT has a new home! The lending library has moved into the new space and you can visit during store hours. CLP has a bumper sticker mission and they’ve got a wall of bumper stickers and postcards to choose from! They’ve also just gotten a new shipment of zafu pillows and zabutons for you to choose from. And I won’t give away all their secrets, but they have a few other things they are working on adding to their store line that I know you will love, so stay tuned for further news.
